BROADWAY STAR TO INTRODUCE NEW PROGRAM AT THE EMPIRE

6/8/2016

Picture
Tony-nominee and Emmy Award-winning artist Liz Callaway will star in the inaugural cabaret of the Empire Arts Center’s new program, The 1919 Lounge.  This Broadway legend is best known for her starring roles in Baby, Miss Saigon, and Cats, in addition to being the singing voice of Anya in the animated feature film Anastasia.

This one-of- a-kind event will take place in an intimate, transformed setting on the Empire’s historic stage, with lite bites and beverages handcrafted by Brick & Barley.  Callaway alongside her musical director Alex Rybeck will share Broadway favorites, enchanting tales, and songs from her latest CD, The Essential Liz Callaway. Following the inaugural event of The 1919 Lounge, the Empire will continue to deliver this unique nightlife experience several times per season, with the goal of bringing Broadway to Grand Forks’ doorstep.

This event has extremely limited seating. Guests are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance as tables are assigned on a first come, first serve basis.  Table preferences can by made by calling the box office. For tickets call 701-746-5500 or visit www.empireartscenter.com.

Tickets*: $35-$65 (*$10 beverage minimum)

When: June 23rd & 24th at 7:30pm

Where: Empire Arts Center, 415 DeMers Ave Grand Forks, ND 58201
