Uncle Louie’s Big, Sad Funeral

Everyone is invited to Uncle Louie's Big Sad Funeral on May 15 and 16 at the Empire Arts Center in downtown Grand Forks.

Louis Losino (Louie to friends and enemies) was the proud owner of Concrete Casualties, Inc. He was a long-time member of the Kiwanis Club and an avid golfer and member of the Hoboken Italian-American Social Club. Many children were recipients of "Uncle Louie's" generosity. He was the major booster for the Hoboken Little League team and provided funding to build the new, adaptive playground on Kennedy Blvd, among many other charities and philanthropic endeavors which will surely gain him entrance to heaven.

Uncle Louie was preceded in death by his first wife, Sherry Losino, who died of a tragic case of food poisoning in 1993, his second wife, Beverly Losino, who fell of a cruise ship in 1999 and sleeps with the fishes, as well as his sainted mother Maria Francesa (Rinalidi) Lossino, and his father Anthonny Losino who founded the Concrete Casualty, Inc.

Uncle Louie is survived by his wife, Lola Maria Losino, his son Louis, Jr., his daughter Patricia Losino (currently doing a 5-year stretch in Rahway State Prison for improper burial of a body), and many friends and family (as in da family).

Friends, family, and the public are invited to attend his visitation at 7 pm on May 15 and May 16 (the family of the deceased is expecting large crowds of mourners) to pay their respects.

Father Shenanigans will preside over the service. There will be a light dinner of pizza (for sale) --  cash bar (Uncle Louie ain't picking up the tab this time!) followed by the reading of the will. As an homage to Uncle Louie's younger years, a celebration of life will complete the evening with a selection of dance tunes from the '60s and '70s.

The cast of characters: Uncle Louie (Terry Dullum), Lola Losino (Leslie Lekatz), Junior (Tony Paradis), Maria Minelli (Ashley Rystad), Father Shenanigans (Mark Diers), "The Countessa" (Janessa Jaye Champagne), Luciano, Louie's illegitimate son (Matthew Ternus), The Attorney (Andrew Huovinen), and Maybelline Marcotti, the funeral director (Kathy Coudle-King)

Audience members are invited to wear black, funeral attire. The show is as interactive as the audience wishes to make it. They can sit back and take in the funeral fun, or engage with the characters. 18+ due to the use of strong language and saucy topics.

Made possible by the support of the GF Comedy Collective.
